Blais Richartz left home as a junior in high school to live with a host family in the Detroit metro area and pursue hockey. He spent the next three years doing the same in Nebraska, playing in the United States Hockey League before earning a spot on the Division I team at Michigan Technological University. Over five years at Michigan Tech, he and his team won a CCHA Mason Cup championship and made three NCAA Tournament appearances. He was named a CCHA Scholar-Athlete three times. He also earned a finance degree and an MBA while doing it.
That background shapes how Blais works. Reliable under pressure, collaborative, and focused on getting things done without making a production of it. At Bernicke, he fields client calls, manages onboarding, and handles the meeting preparation and follow-up that keeps the client experience running smoothly. What surprised him most about working here is how accessible everyone is, and that no matter what a client needs, there is always someone with a hand in making it happen.
Outside the office, Blais golfs with his brother, fishes for bass on weekends, and gives back to the game that shaped him by coaching younger hockey players.
