Retirees

Once you're retired, the work shifts from planning to managing

We work with people who are already retired, with a minimum of $500,000 in investable assets.

It’s no longer about when to leave your job. It’s about making sure the income keeps coming, in the right order, from the right accounts, adjusted as things change.

Retirement doesn't end the decisions. It just changes what they're about.

You’ve made the leap already. Now the work is keeping the income coming: drawing from the right accounts in the right order, and making sure the plan can hold up in a bad year, not just a good one.

How do you make your money last?

Drawing down savings in the wrong order can cost you real money in taxes. The sequence matters as much as the amount.

Is your plan built for a bad year, not just a good one?

We stress-test your retirement income plan against down markets, so you know ahead of time how a downturn could affect your income, not after it happens.

Questions people ask before their first call.

What does your process look like?

It starts with a call, we'll walk you through how we work and figure out together whether we're a good fit. From there, we match you with an advisor based on your location or what your situation calls for. Your advisor gets to know your full picture, your family, your goals, and what's keeping you up at night, then lays out a full analysis of where you stand before bringing it together in a recommendation meeting with a clear path forward. From there, we're with you year after year, reviewing and adjusting as life changes.

What happens to my retirement plan if the market drops?

Your plan is built to expect market drops, not be surprised by them. We stress-test your retirement income plan against down markets before you retire, so you already know how a downturn could affect your plan and what adjustments, if any, might be needed. That's different from reacting after a drop happens.

How do required minimum distributions fit into my plan?

Depending on your birth year, the IRS requires you to start withdrawing a minimum amount from most retirement accounts at age 73 or 75, whether you need the income or not. We plan for this years in advance so the withdrawals you're required to take are most likely to fit your tax picture instead of pushing you into a higher bracket you didn't plan for.

How do you make sure my money lasts as long as I do?

We model varying strategies against a Monte Carlo analysis of different lifespans and market conditions, not just a single average scenario, so you have a realistic sense of how your plan holds up over time rather than a best-case guess.

How do you help me plan for healthcare costs and long-term care?

Protection, insurance and safeguards that keep your plan on track, is one of the five areas we coordinate as part of your plan. We take your health history into account and factor potential healthcare and long-term care costs into your income and withdrawal strategy to the extent feasible, so a health event is less likely to derail the rest of your plan.

The Forbes Best-In-State Wealth Advisor ranking, developed by SHOOK Research, is based on in-person and telephone due diligence meetings and a ranking algorithm that includes: client retention, industry experience, review of compliance records, firm nominations; and quantitative criteria, including: assets under management and revenue generated for their firms. Portfolio performance is not a criterion due to varying client objectives and lack of audited data. Neither Forbes nor SHOOK Research receives a fee in exchange for rankings. Awarded April 7, 2026 based on data as of June 30, 2025.
