Steve P. Latham

Chief Investment Officer

Steve spent the first half of his career learning how markets work from the inside out, and as the Chief Investment Officer, is spending the second half explaining what that means for real people. He spent years on the analytical side of wealth management, overseeing ETF and closed-end fund platforms and helping manage billions in model portfolios, then working with ultra-high net worth clients as a Senior Portfolio Manager. All that time behind the scenes gave him a deep understanding of how markets work and why they do what they do.

What clients say they appreciate most is that Steve makes the markets understandable. Not simplified to the point of being useless but explained in a way that turns anxiety into clarity. He will tell you that most people come in focused on beating a benchmark, but what tends to matter more is understanding how you actually spend money in retirement and building a plan around that reality.

Outside the office, Steve is usually at a baseball diamond or basketball court watching his two boys play, catching his daughter’s dance recitals, playing goalie in a men’s hockey league, or out on the golf course. He and his wife like finding new cities to explore whenever the kids’ schedules allow.

He has been told that he is the kind of advisor who makes people rest easy at night. If that sounds like what you are looking for, a conversation with Steve is a good place to start.
